Major Sponsor

Ettalong Diggers

The Peninsula Chamber of Commerce has today confirmed a major sponsor partner deal with Ettalong Diggers leading up to the Brisbane Water Oyster Festival on the 13th November.

“The Chamber is proud to have teamed up again this year with the Ettalong Diggers who are the events major partner for 2016”, said Peninsula Chamber President Matthew Wales.

“Ettalong Diggers have always been a big supporter of the Oyster Festival which is traditionally held on The Esplanade adjacent to the Club”.

“With almost 30,000 visitors to the event each year, its vitally important that major sponsors such as Ettalong Diggers provide both financial and logistical support. Otherwise we would not be able to hold the event to the standard that the public have come to expect”, said Matthew Wales.

“This year’s event will be held at the same location although the with some changes to the layout due to construction work commencing on the old TESROL development site opposite the Club”.

“It will still have all the traditional elements including food from around the world in the food court with our famous oysters and seafood, fine wine from our neighbours in the Hunter Valley and food, over 40 art and craft stall as well as exhibition stands”, said Matthew Wales.

“The day commences with a full program of live, on stage entertainment and the hugely popular 'How Many Oysters Can You Eat in 30 Seconds' sponsored by Radio 2GO /SeaFM & Hello World Woy Woy is the highlight of the day with many competing for the famous trophy and prize”.

“Ettalong Diggers and the Peninsula Chamber are proud to present the Oyster Festival event for yet another year as a way of show casing our local oyster industry and the fabulous Ettalong Beach foreshore”, said Matthew Wales.
