The Peninsula Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that the Brisbane Water Oyster Festival will be celebrating its 24th year on Sunday 10th November at Lions Park Woy Woy.
“It’s all systems go for another great year of oysters, food, wine and entertainment”, said Peninsula Chamber President, Matthew Wales.
“This year we are excited to announce that the Naming Sponsor is Deepwater Plaza Woy Woy who are celebrating 40 years of retailing and service to the Peninsula community”.
“Deepwater Plaza is our iconic shopping centre on the Peninsula which provides valuable retail services to our community and facilitates hundreds of jobs for local families”, said Matthew Wales.
“The Oyster Festival brings thousands of visitors, not only to the Peninsula but to the Central Coast for the weekend giving a huge boost to the local economy”.
“We value our sponsors who are an integral part of the Brisbane Water Oyster Festival. Without our sponsors, the festival just wouldn’t happen”, said Matthew Wales.
“We are also delighted to announce Bruce Kerr Pty Ltd., a local family real estate business, as a major sponsor for the Oyster Festival. Established in 1938 we are very proud to have this local business involved with such a rich business history on the Woy Woy Peninsula”.
“Family businesses such as Bruce Kerry Pty Ltd. form the backbone of our local town centres and we welcome their support for this iconic Woy Woy event”, said Matthew Wales.
“Once again, our thanks to Central Coast Council who are great supporters of the event and have ensured that the Oyster Festival continues with broad community support”.
“Sponsorship packages are still available and we hope more local businesses take up the opportunity to support the Oyster Festival and at the same time, showcase their own businesses through our promotions”, said Matthew Wales.
The Chamber has confirmed that PWP Marketing and Events are organizing the event this year and are calling on stallholders to take up sites before the event is booked out. They can be contacted on pwpevents@hotmail.com
“The entertainment will be spectacular kicking off the day at 10:00am with Freddy Aguilera & the Ipanema Latin Band with roaming entertainment from the Mariachi Band”, said Matthew Wales.
“The afternoon will have Belinda Adams and the Soul Traders live on stage entertaining us through to 4:00pm. It promises to be a lively day of entertainment”.
The Chamber has advised that the festival will have over 100 stalls throughout the street and carpark with delicious food stalls, chilled wines & cocktails plus the famous Six Strings Brewing Company cold ales. The famous Sydney Rocks will be the highlight of the day with the “How Many Oysters Can You Eat in 30 Seconds” live on stage and local oyster farmers selling their product.
